Masterpiece 8550: Michael Zammataro´s
masterpiece!
In the brand-new Masterpiece 8550 together with Michael Zammataro
we are following the trend towards slimmer and smaller feeder reels. The
Masterpiece is now significantly more filigree than the predecessor
model, the Zammataro 9600.
The principal item is the new worm-shaft gear with a retarded stroke.
This means that the rotor turns significantly more slowly than a normal
worm-shaft and this results in an outstanding, cross-wise line lay. Even
wet, very thin braided lines don’t cut in.
The
Lazy Rotor system
automatically fixes the rotor in place as soon as
the bail folds down, so that it does not inadvertently turn during the cast.
However it is not completely blocked, so that fine adjustments are still
possible before the cast.
The
Bail Fix System
enables the bail to click in when it is turning over,
thus preventing it from inadvertently folding down during the cast, which
inevitably causes the line or even the rod to break.
The
Safety LINE Clip PLUS
is a further development of the Safety Line
Clip - even smoother and with better suspension. The new Safety LINE
Clip PLUS guarantees top safety for the line in terms of casting limitation.
This guarantees that the line is protected even when the feeder basket is
decelerated very hard.
The conical shape of the long-distance casting spool adds a few extra
metres to the cast.
We offer a further spool with a greater line capacity.

Masterpiece 8400 LF… a true masterpiece!
Based on our flagship, Matze Koch’s MK Adventure Hybrid 8000, we
have further developed this masterpiece for light feeder fishing and me-
thod feeder fishing in cooperation with Michael Zammataro.
Like the Hybrid the Masterpiece also has a hybrid body, i.e. a combinati-
on of aluminium, carbon and nylon/ABS.
The reel base, which – especially when feeder fishing - naturally bears the
greatest load, is made from torsion-free aluminium. The body of the reel
is made from lightweight Nylon/ABS, reinforced by approx. 25% carbon
fibre which makes the body extremely hard and resilient.
The shape of the rotor was designed according to Michael’s requirements
and it makes it possible to grasp the handle and the line clip without any
hindrance.
The
Safety LINE Clip PLUS
is a further development of the Safety Line
Clip - even smoother and with better suspension. The new Safety LINE
Clip PLUS guarantees top safety for the line in terms of casting limitation.
This guarantees that the line is protected even when the feeder basket is
decelerated very hard.
With a transmission of 5.2:1 the Masterpiece pulls in the assembly bris-
kly. However, it is still low enough, in order to also bring in baskets out of
the current.
We are particularly proud of the design of the extremely smooth-running
gear: The decelerated S-stroke ensures perfect line winding; even wet,
extremely thin braided lines don’t cut in!
For those for whom the line capacity is insufficient, we also offer an e-
spool with a considerably higher line capacity.
