My Kauli has done it: within barely 15 years it has become THE standard
bait for pike-perch anglers.
However, despite the trust I place in the universal characteristics of this
cult bait, there are situations by the water where one is better advised to
use bait which develops more “self-initiative”. That is why the Kauli has a
somewhat less tame brother: the KAULI ACTIVE!
The KAULI ACTIVE is a special type of bait: in spite of its broad tail stock
and the comparatively large tail plate, it can be catapulted over very long
casting distances without any rollovers and without fluttering in the air.
This is a huge advantage when casting against a gusty wind! The com-
pact design clearly reveals that it is member of the KAULI family and en-
sures excellent bait control underwater because – contrary to other active
rubber baits – it glides like an arrow through the current because it can
also be guided excellently against the current. Furthermore, it offers the
water so little resistance that the KAULI ACTIVE can be conducted
around perfectly with the current. Experts know that when the bait
reaches its “tipping point” one often gets the most heaviest pike-perch
onto the hook. As soon as the KAULI ACTIVE begins to sink it starts its
tantalising dance which comes from the ribbed, flat tail stock and the

stopping on the spot the new Kauli starts to run and drives pike, pike-
perch and perch crazy! Catfish and asps also reacted to the new piece of
rubber in a very irritated way during the test phase.
For the KAULI ACTIVE I again attached great importance to a durable
rubber mixture which needs only a little softener. The gratifying result is
greater durability and greater environmental compatibility. And YES, the
rubber mixture is compatible with all other baits from my Kauli series,
and with almost all other baits on the market without any problems. The
greatest advantage compared to most mixtures in the products of our
competitors in the market: The Kauli and the KAULI ACTIVE are abso-
lutely secure on the jighead without us having to apply even a single drop
of super-glue to fix anything!
We are starting directly with the complete range of 16 colours which we
also started offering this year for my original. Only with regard to size we
are counting on the especially popular 12-centimetre version (for the mo-
ment).

needlepoint.
