You want to shoot out bait beyond the 50 gram mark as powerfully as
you can? And expedite those baits powerfully away from the bottom;
and cope easily with pike measuring more than a metre? Then this is
the right rod. It displays its strength with a pleasant ease wherever big
baits are to be offered; and it carries the necessary hard strike into even
the hardest pike mouth. The ultra-large guides make it possible to cast
with almost no friction resistance. Matze even tested the rod success-
fully on catfish. With fish measuring around a meter it clearly indicates
that the backbone of this monster rod still has plenty of leeway for big-
ger fish. No matter whether it is guiding a big wobbler aggressively,
heavy spoon-bait, wound in a giant twister or twitched jerkbait, the big
pike cudgel copes with everything.
Like all the models in the Nano series, this exceptionally fast spin rod is
light in weight and you can fish for many hours with it without tiring,
despite the enormous power in the backbone. Medium wobblers up to
20 cm are no problem for the jagged action, and even light jerks can be
presented appealingly. When fishing with rubber bait the pike whip
demonstrates its full strength. Short, sensitive lobs from the rod blank
suit it just as well as the classic lazy-bones method. At the same time it
is also sensitive enough to present lighter pike-perch bait successfully.
